HEALING PHASE
Inflammation phase (1–3 days)
A mild inflammatory reaction may occur immediately after the procedure.
The skin may be red, swollen, and sensitive.
The pigmented area will initially appear more intense and darker due to pigment oxidation.
Proliferation phase (4–14 days)
New skin cells form, and the skin begins to regenerate.
During this time, a thin scab often appears and comes off naturally.
Maturation phase (15–30 days)
The skin regains its normal structure and firmness.
The pigments stabilize and settle permanently in the skin.
Touch-up phase (after 4–6 weeks)
After about 4–6 weeks, the skin is fully healed.
If necessary, a follow-up session can be performed to perfect or intensify the result.

IF YOU ARE PRONE TO HERPES
If you are prone to herpes simplex infections, preventive antiviral medication is recommended.
Please discuss this with your doctor beforehand.
HERPES – IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND PREVENTION
Frequency:
A herpes outbreak after lip permanent make-up is not uncommon, especially in people who already carry the HSV-1 virus.
Prevention:
Your doctor may prescribe antiviral medication to prevent an outbreak.
Typical dosages:
Valaciclovir
-
Prophylaxis: 500 mg twice daily for several days.
-
Acute: 2,000 mg twice daily for one day (total 4,000 mg).
Aciclovir
-
Prophylaxis: 400 mg three times daily.
-
Acute: 800 mg five times daily for five days.
Local treatment in case of an outbreak:
-
Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
-
Gently dab the affected area with Octenisept spray using a cotton swab.
-
Apply a thin layer of ointment (Zovirax Duo) directly to the area — ideally at the first sign of tingling or itching.
-
Apply about 5 times daily, every 3–4 hours.
-
Continue use for up to 5 days. If blisters have not healed after 10 days, consult your doctor.
-
Wash your hands thoroughly after each application to prevent spreading the virus.
Note: Even with preventive medication, a herpes outbreak cannot be completely ruled out.
An additional ointment treatment can help relieve symptoms and support healing.
